The majestic beauty of the Petite rivière Bostonnais’s 35-metre waterfall is sure to elicit some appreciative “oohs” and “ahhs”. T he scenic park bearing the river’s name is the ideal setting for taking photographs, or enjoying a picnic or barbecue with the entire family. Walking trails offer the opportunity to explore the forest. The view from atop the Saint-Maurice River’s lookout tower is definitely worth the climb! And thanks to several interpretation panels, you can learn which species of fish live in the bodies of water seen on the horizon, from large rivers to the smallest pools. The Parc des chutes de la Petite rivière Bostonnais can be reached by car and motorcycle, of course, but also by AT V, snowmobile and even train! Younger visitors will enjoy the playground and pets are welcome. Other attractions not to be missed around the park: the centre and tour dedicated to Félix Leclerc, celebrated Québec poet and Mauricie native; and the new centre honouring heiress Anne Stillman McCormick, the Queen of Mauricie!
