One of Quebec’s major tourist attractions, La Cité de l’énergie is located on the shores of the Saint-Maurice River in a spectacular natural environment. In addition to its awesome multimedia show that lets visitors discover the different sources of energy, this museum features interesting exhibitions and a magnificent panoramic view from the top of the second highest observation tower in Quebec, 115 meters above ground level. Visitors can also take in the History Centre, as well as the Shawinigan-2 hydroelectric station, dating back to 1911, a showpiece of Quebec’s hydroelectric heritage.
