La Mauricie National Park, the only national park between Montreal and Quebec City, contains not only a large variety of flora and fauna, but also a portion of the Canadian Shield.
Leave highway 55 at exit 226 and follow the Saint-Jean-des-Piles and Chemin du Parc-National road signs. Or take the exit 217 and follow the road signs towards Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (closed from October to May).

This 536 km2 land mass, more than 150 lakes and magnificent falls − and mostly forest-covered (93%), is the ideal playground for enjoying outdoor activities or for simply contemplating nature. Hiking trails and lookouts give visitors the opportunity to enjoy some of the most breathtaking panoramas, which many will undoubtedly want to capture on film. Throughout the seasons, many activities and approaches make it possible to discover this charismatic natural heritage.
