What better way to explore than at the leisurely pace of a bicycle ride? Grab your water bottle and make use of Québec’s Route verte biking circuit. In Mauricie, the circuit follows the Chemin du Roy, the first passable road in New-France, which skirts the St.Lawrence River. Among others, Trois-Rivières and Shawinigan are excellent urban destinations, while Haute-Mauricie attracts mountain bikers seeking adventure. The bucolic Maskinongé region to the west and pastoral Des Chenaux and Mékinac regions to the east offer beautiful scenery.
