COGECO AMPHITHEATER
The Cirque du Soleil summer shows are held in Trois-Rivières’ brand-new auditorium. The venue has an eclectic show program. You’ll enjoy the acoustics and the outdoor shows beside the St. Lawrence River!

BORÉALIS 
This interactive museum is dedicated to the importance of paper as part of the industrial heritage of Trois-Rivières. Visitors can experience the process hands-on (papermaking workshop), explore with the five senses (through the multisensorial stations of the 5S Passage) and take part in a rally (in the underground vaults). 

 

MUSÉE POP AND THE OLD PRISON OF TROIS-RIVIÈRES
The Musée POP will walk you through Quebec’s popular culture, in a very entertaining fashion. The permanent exhibit is called “Attache ta tuque!” (from a popular expression which literally means “Put your beanie on!” and figuratively means “Hang on tight”). The Old Prison is not far away and offers another type of gripping immersive experience. The Delta Hotels Trois-Rivières provides nearby accommodation.

A key attraction in Shawinigan, the Cité has exhibits on the theme of energy. In the evening, enjoy Nezha, an electrifying circus show brought to you by Cirque Éloize. The show is held outdoors under a rotating scene, shielded from weather conditions. Tip to visitors: the museum dedicated to Prime Minister Jean Chrétien is also worth your while and showcases memorabilia and gifts received from the world over.

OUR LADY OF THE CAPE SHRINE
The basilica has 300 years of history to tell. The sanctuary is a haven of inner peace. All are welcome, pilgrims and tourists alike. Onsite activities cater for pilgrims and the general public (example: The Assumption Festival held in August).

LANAUDIÈRE FESTIVAL 
This is Canada’s number 1 festival for classical music. For over 40 years, the festival has been hosting the world’s top headliners in Joliette.

MUSÉE D’ART DE JOLIETTE
This is the third museum in the province for its impressive visual arts collection. The museum offers a lot of activities 7 days/week onsite during summertime. Afterhours are held on the patio every Thursday. Tip: Hôtel Château Joliette is only a 5-min walk away.

VILLAGE DU BÛCHERON
Head out to Grandes-Piles to explore the rich heritage of the province’s forest industry. Guided tours of the traditional camp, songs and folktales will take you back to the olden days of the heroic lumberjack.

VAL NOTRE-DAME ABBEY
The monastery has a modern architecture and the Trappist monks of Oka have been living there since 2009. The abbey is set in nature, next to 187 hectares of forest. The Trappist monks are well known for their handmade delicacies. Visit the boutique for all sorts of chocolate, butter, cake, jam, maple products or herbal teas.

GILLES-VILLENEUVE MUSEUM
Berthierville is the hometown of the F1 legend. Stop at the museum to explore the life of the local boy who signed up with Ferrari. The museum also exhibits retro items and F1 memorabilia.

FESTIVAL WESTERN DE ST-TITE
This festival is dedicated to Western culture. Country music & dances, Wild West rodeos: unleash your inner cowboy or cowgirl this September in St-Tite. Yeehaw!  Why not put your feet up at the Comfort Inn Trois-Rivieres afterwards to call it a day?

CHEZ DANY SUGAR SHACK
In Trois-Rivières, anytime of the year is sugar shack time thanks to Chez Dany. The sugar shack is a sacred tradition in Quebec. Maple syrup flows as you feast on meat pies, smoked ham, pork & beans, and the famous scrunchies in an atmosphere of folkloric music.
