What sets the Biennale internationale d’estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières (BIEC) apart? It is the largest international art print event in Canada, and it is the most important competition for many printmakers in North America. Held every two years since 1999, this world-renowned exhibition opens the door to contemporary print culture. The BIEC gives amateurs of art the opportunity to discover extraordinary images produced by classical printmaking techniques, while allowing connoisseurs to admire the latest trends in an art that is continually reinventing itself. Over 350 art prints are displayed in four locations, all in downtown Trois-Rivières. On your way, you can’t miss the exterior exhibition that is also part of the BIEC.
