A mandatory stop at the Cité de l’énergie! Why? Simply because this attraction is one of the must-visit places in Quebec. With its Science Center featuring an exhibition and a multimedia show, both entirely dedicated to energy in all its forms, a museum devoted to former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, helping visitors understand Canada’s place in the world, and the second-highest observation tower in Quebec, whose summit, accessible by panoramic elevator, offers visitors the chance to observe the magnificent surrounding landscape… from a height of 115 meters.
You can also visit two hydroelectric power plants, one of which is still in operation whereas the other has been converted into an exhibition hall showcasing a collection of impressive industrial machinery needed for this type of power supply. All this on a splendid natural site located on the Saint-Maurice River.
