Slices of history in the parks
Did you know that Félix Leclarc was from La Tuque? A small museum is devoted to him at the Parc des Chutes-de-la-Petit-Rivière-Bostonnais, which also treats visitors to a fur trade interpretation centre and a museum devoted to log-driving. Two other parks also explore the region’s past. Parc Ducharme de la Bostonnais offers a centre for the appreciation of the arts and agri-food products. At the Centre de valorisation de Lac-Édouard, you can discover the history of the sanatarium and railroad development, the early days of fishing expéditions, and an authentic general store. No reservations are required and admission is free of charge.
